Why PoC radio

Push-to-talk that doesn't stop at the farm gate

PoC (Push-to-Talk over Cellular) radios use mobile networks instead of short-range signal, delivering instant communication with nationwide coverage, reliability and advanced features — wherever the work takes you.

Instant push-to-talk

Press, speak, done. One-to-one or whole-team group calls across the yard or across the county.

Nationwide 4G/5G coverage

No range limits and no blackspots beyond the yard — if there's mobile signal, you're connected.

GPS tracking & lone worker

See where your team is in real time — vital for lone workers in remote fields, sheds and woodland.

Secure & encrypted

Reliable, private communications your neighbours can't listen in on. Crystal-clear audio in any weather.

No licences, no repeaters

No Ofcom radio licences, repeater fees or masts to maintain. We handle the network for you.

Scales with the seasons

Add handsets for harvest, contractors and seasonal staff — with unlimited channels as standard.

Built for farm work

From the milking parlour to the far field

One simple handset that keeps every part of the operation talking — through harvest, lambing, and everything in between.

Harvest crews

Coordinate combines, trailers and grain carts in real time — keep the cart rolling and the dryer fed.

Livestock & lambing

Call for an extra pair of hands from the shed or the field without dropping what you're doing.

Lone workers

GPS location and instant contact for staff working alone on quad bikes, in barns or remote ground.

Estates & gamekeeping

Cover thousands of acres, woodland and shoot days — well beyond the reach of traditional radio.

Contractors

Stay in touch with the whole gang across multiple farms and counties on the same channel.

Yard & grain store

Direct lorries, manage intake and keep the weighbridge, store and office on one channel.

Simple monthly leasing

One fixed payment. Everything included.

No big capital outlay before harvest — just a fixed cost you can budget for, every month.

Common questions

Asked from the yard

The things farmers ask us most. Anything else — pick up the phone, we're happy to talk it through.

Do I need a radio licence?

No. PoC radios work over the mobile networks, so there are no Ofcom licences to hold, no repeaters to maintain and no fees on top of your monthly payment. We handle everything network-side.

What's the range?

There isn't one in the traditional sense. Because the radios use 4G/5G rather than their own signal, the yard, the far field and a driver three counties away are all on the same channel. If there's mobile coverage, you're connected.

What about poor signal areas?

Each radio has a multi-network SIM that automatically locks onto the strongest signal available — Vodafone, O2, EE or Three — rather than being stuck on one network. That covers the vast majority of rural ground far better than any single phone contract.

How long does the battery last?

A full working day on a single charge with typical use. Drop it on charge overnight like a phone and it's ready for the morning.

Is it private?

Yes. Calls are carried over the mobile data network and encrypted, on your own private channels. Unlike traditional radio, neighbours and scanners can't listen in.

Can I add more radios at busy times?

Yes — add handsets whenever you need them, for harvest, contractors or seasonal staff. Unlimited channels are included, and staff phones can join the same channels using the TerraLink app.

How does the free trial work?

Tell us a bit about the farm and we'll post you a T30, programmed and ready to use, for a week. If it's not for you, send it back in the box provided — no charge and no obligation.

What support do I get?

UK-based support for the life of your contract. We set up and program everything before it ships, manage the network side, and we're on the phone if anything needs changing — new channels, new staff, new sites.
